The University of the Middle East Project is pleased to announce that the application process is now open for the Collaborative Art Initiative. The Collaborative Art Initiative (CAI) will be held 10-27 July 2008 at Roger Williams University (www.rwu.edu) in Bristol, Rhode Island, USA.
Through the Collaborative Art Initiative (CAI), teachers and youth from three continents will convene to create sacred public spaces representing the moments between routine and imagination where mindful interaction, open dialogue and collaboration are
both possible and tangible. The CAI participants, from diverse communities throughout the Middle East, North Africa (MENA), and the United States, will collaborate in a dynamic and inclusive environment to create meaningful art that expresses their collective vision.
American educators, please refer to: http://www.ume.org/applications.htm
MENA educators: only alumni of the Teacher Education Institute are eligible to apply (all countries, all years). Please write to UME staff to request an application and additional information.
